Great Run

We worked with Mere Mortals and SBSquared to create a fantastic viral marketing application to generate interest in the Great Run.

Users completed a form about themselves or their friends, and this data was then seamlessly incorporated into video footage of celebrities and local scenes. The end result was a TV news-style 30 second video clip that appeared to show celebrities such as Sally Gunnel, Sir Steve Cram, Ray Stubbs and Brenden Foster talking about the person viewing the video.

It was a great Flash application that worked very well as a viral marketing campaign as users were obviously flattered and amused that celebrities appeared to be talking about them. The application was heavily used as people emailed the application around their friends and colleagues, making it a true viral marketing success.

Unfortunately this Flash application is no longer available to view online, as the campaign has come to an end.
